The Pinchot Partners work within the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and surrounding areas to promote policies and projects that create quality local jobs, recreational opportunities, and benefit watershed health.
The Pinchot Partners are comprised of diverse forest stakeholders who share a vision of healthy forests and vibrant communities. Stakeholders in the Pinchot Partners represent diverse interests ranging from conservationists and the native Cowlitz Tribe to the timber industry and Cowlitz Valley economic interests.
The Pinchot Partners have been engaged in a diverse set of project the seek to create quality local jobs, recreation opportunities, and benefit watershed health. Currently, our active projects include active huckleberry management and an in-stream wood bank pilot with the Cascade Forest Conservancy.
We meet on the third Wednesday of each month. Beginning in March 2020 and for the foreseeable future, the partners will be meeting via conference call in order to comply with the Washington state stay-at-home precautions due to COVID-19.
